Numnum

Around 3 am last night, Sufi decided he didn't want to sleep anymore. He got off the bed and starting leaving the room, saying "numnum, numnum" (baby talk for "food") that is until he realized I wasn't with him... then he proceeded to scream until I sat up, picked him up and put him in bed with me... then he screamed even harder... so I gave in and got up with him.. he went straight to the silverware drawer (all the while saying "numnum, numnum") ... he gestured for me to give him a spoon, saying "this". Then I decided to pour him some cereal, since he sounded hungry (ie. the "numnum, numnum"). We headed to the couch to eat. On the way there, he pointed to the tv and said "this". I said "no tv right now", he screamed loudly. So I turned on food network and fed him. Did you know Emeril is on at 3am? Anyways, Sufi ate about half a bite and decided he did not want to eat anymore. He layed down on the couch and just watched tv. To say the least, I felt "numb, numb" when I woke up today.

The irony behind all this is, I used to put my Khala (maternal aunt) through almost the exact same thing, nightly. I'm not sure for how long, but one night was bad enough.
