Just bust a move

I'm sitting at my computer and Madagascar is playing in the background... the "move it, move it" part comes, and I see heemee jumping in his thobe and newly purchased Thomas The Tank Engine Sneakers (size 9.5 wide, THANKYOUWALMART, as much as I try to avoid you).... and then he sees me look at him and says "Goooo, in your rooom, gooooo".... aawww... a shy dancer...

Wide Width

How do I tell almost 3 years old eemee that they don't make those crazy lighted sneakers in wide width?

That the only wide width sneakers I found for him (in the few weeks of hunting), have been the generic white sneaker at kmart.......

anybody seen any good 10W sneakers around?

My Mocking Bird

Sufi has started mocking words really well. He even repeated "Costco" today... Sufi also likes to run up the back staircase and come down the front ones... I took a Tajweed course with Bayyinah Institute and now I am doing the follow-up course.

Smaland

Today was another trip to Ikea... heemee, of course, wanted to go into Smaland, and when I picked him up, he got a coupon for a free ice cream cone... all because he used the potty himself... of course his pants and underwear were on backwards... I didn't even know they have a bathroom there!

My Home Office/Closet Office

This is a long overdue post... but I promised I'd blog about our newly constructed closet office.. so here's some pix. We made it in one weekend, but I've been organizing it for almost two months (I had not filed any papers since last June, and with the move everything has been everywhere!!) It's still being organized, as for those who know me well, the clutter that you see, is very annoying...

Earlier Today....

The kids were in my closet (while I am on the phone, obviously not paying attention "Slamau Aliakum. Bye bye... wee goin' ta Walmart and Kmart.... wee gonna git doo-doooooo aaanndd chocolate". And all the while they are trying on my shoes (khooseh and high heels) with a pocket book around eemee's arm... even Sufi was saying " Byyye, byyyye"

Mama, Mama, I go to sleep

Today Sufi climbed into the bottom bunk and put a pillow over his face (like he always does) and then lifted it up and said "Mama, mama, I go to sleep". At first, I was like, "did I just hear that?"... as I heard the words echo in my head, then I realized, I DID!

Eemee's favorite lines are "Ready guys!?" "See ya later!" and "Ohh, my back is hurting"-wonder who taught him that? :)

Also today, Sufi bit eemee so hard on the back, I thought that he took off a small chunk of skin :(
Eemee DID let us know he was in SEVERE pain, by crying VERY loudly and having moments of breathlessness.....
